Thank you so much to Petra Ford and Aqua Dog Rehab for her continued support through my dog's 2 TPLO surgeries. Despite Terra's physical challenges, what Petra has taught me has allowed us to do what we love best, which is compete in canine musical freestyle! Terra is the first dog to earn a Premier Title from MDSA, and also the first dog to earn a Grand Champion Title from RFE. Thanks again Petra, and enjoy the Car Wash!!
Our six year old Curly Coated Retriever, Tara was diagnosed with right shoulder and hip lameness.
Before the lameness occurred Tara was very active in Lure Coursing, Field training and Competition Obedience. We noticed a decline in Tara's drive physically and a lack in her enthusiasm which affected her over all performance. When the lameness presented it's self we took Tara to Aqua Dog for an evaluation by Dr. Kris.
Thank you for your incredible conditioning plan for Maggie. When Maggie first came to your care at Aqua Dog, she was an overweight 8 month old puppy who had a crooked back and needed more muscles to be considered a show prospect. I brought her to you with a dream to get her in shape to begin the sport of dog showing.
My name is Emilie. I like cookies, all kinds of cookies. My Mom and Dad took me to visit my friend Narla whose Mom has wonderful cookies. Her Mom gave me some and they were so very good. When my Mom and Dad were getting ready to go home they put me in the truck. I saw the window open and decided to jump out to visit Narla's Mom for more cookies.
I didn't hurt too much at the time but later a friend of Mom's said she thought I wasn't walking right... I guess I didn't hide it very well. It was then my Mom noticed that my scores weren't as good as usual and she brought me to see Dr. Kris at Aqua Dog Rehab.
I just wanted to let you know that Lacey has been doing so very well. Last year she had shoulder surgery and a long rehab process. Lacey was tied up with this injury, the surgery and rehab process for over 18 months.
Grady is a high-drive dog that had always weaved like a heat-seeking missal. I didn’t know why at the time but he started popping his weave poles in trials.
It wasn’t until I attended a seminar Petra was giving that it all made sense to me why this was happening. She said if there was something out of ordinary your dog was doing and you had ruled out it was not a training issues, the next thing to consider was they may be injured or hurt.
I cannot say enough good things about Kris and Petra. I had been dealing with on and off lameness issues with my Belgian Malinois, Bacci, for months. I went to a number of veterinarians and orthopedic specialists. I had hips x-rayed and spent tons of money trying to find out what was wrong. A number of people thought Bacci had Pano, but something just didn’t seem right to me.
